E92 Bluetooth Mic Issue

This past Saturday I got my 2008 E92 activated with option $644 for Bluetooth on MULF2. I already had voice controls and everything else needed besides the BT antenna, thus the mic is the original voice control mic. Everything works fine but the sound quality for people on the other end of the line is quite poor, especially at road speed. They cant really understand me and my speech to text is all confused? In a parking lot not moving it is better, but still not stellar. Have any of you encountered this this before? I know some BT setups use 2 mics; is that to cancel road noise? Maybe I should swap microphones? If so, do you know the P/N of the best mic to get?

Thanks for the help.

Can you please read the microphone settings from your MULF2 TRC file?

You can set the sensitivity which might help...

Ahhh, I did not perform the retrofit myself. I assume that has to be done via coding and not through the Idrive options menu?

Yes, you can set the options as:
mic via MOST , means the mic will be used which is wired, or no mic.
And can also set mic sensitivity..
But both the above needs an OBD cable and coding software(NCS,EDIABAS)

Think it might be one of these, else you might have to change the mic..
