2012 E92 wheel fitment question...

I just picked up a brand new 2012 335i Coupe with MSport suspension and am a noob when it comes to fitting aftermarket wheels. I've always been an OEM guy. But I am considering replacing my OEM 19" Style 230's with a set of gunmetal VMR710's on my NEW 2012 E92 with sport package and I have a question. My current tires are 225/35/19 on 19 x 8 wheels in front and 255/30/19 on 19 x 9 wheels in the rear. Will re-using my tires on the VMR wheels (8.5 in front and 10.0 in rear) stretch my tires too much such that I lose what little protection the rubber provides the wheels from curb rash? Will it leave my setup looking like the 20 year old kid with massive amounts of metal lip hanging way out there? I don't want that. I also don't want to buy new tires.

I am also considering some Avant Garde M510's and they come in 8.5 and 9.5. Would that be a better option if keeping my NEW existing tires is the priority?

I am running 19x9.5 in the back with 265 tires and it's pretty much perfect. no stretch, but none hanging over the rim. 255 on a 19x10 might have some stretch, but I doubt it will be anything huge. Personally, I'd go with new 270 tires for the rear and re-use your tires for the fronts, but it's your call

if you get the 9.5s instead, I'm sure 255 would work well

You would be safer with a setup of 8.5 front with offset of 30-32et flush fitment

and 9.5 wide rears with 30 et for flush fitment.

Should be perfect.... 35et all around if you want to be safe on 19's

I think I'm going with the wheels below on my Space Grey 2012 335i Coupe. 8.0 with 225/35/19 tires in front and 9.5 on 255/30/19's in the rear, both ET35.

10 inches about 255 mm so a 255/30 tire should fit without much of a stretch.

A 255/30 on a 10 is going to look more stretched than you prefer. With those tire sizes, you should stick with a 9.5 at most.
