Choice of DSP

Hello everyone.

I'm in the final stages of upgrading my 2008 E90 base stereo. Got my spacers from JTSherri and harness from Technic coming.

I need to choose a DSP. I'm thinking of these options:

a) Buy a Helix P-DSP and leave all the factory speakers.

b) Buy a Bit One-D and leave all the factory speakers.

C) Buy a Bit One and upgrade only the front speakers. (Focal)

I'm thinking of doing the under seat woofers last.

A,B, and C options are about the same price in Japan.

Any advice or ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

Alpine H800?

Why would you consider adding an expensive processor and then being cheap and using crappy stock speakers? Especially since you have the base system.

What is your budget? None of your options include an amp, were you planning on using one?

Yes. I got 2 amps. One 4 channel for the front and rear speakers and a two channel for the woofers under the seat.

I'd like to keep everything under $800 if possible.

If you can recode to hifi, you'd get better results from the Jehnert flatline 3 way set, than you would with just a proccessor.

Or if you don't want to to recode try to find a cheaper proccessor, and get some decent speakers to go with it.

Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.3, 3Sixty.2, or JBL MS8 are other options to consider.

I took your advise and ordered the Jenhert E90 kit direct from Germany. Should I run them in 2way or 3way? The kit comes with two different types of crossovers.

Also strongly consdiering a Bit Ten D. (It's what I can get in Japan for a decent price.

What do you think?

I would reccommend you a Rockford 3sixty.3 plus a Alpine PDX-F6 amp.CDT cl-42 component speaker for front door.the price should meet your budget.Or you can code your hu to hi-fi,just use the pdx-f6 amp, witch accept balanced differenical outputs from your hu.

Stay away from the bit1. The Arc Audio PS8 or the Alpine are both good.

What's wrong with a bit one? Others have used it.
