Why is Dealer Tracking more up-to-date?

Not sure if this question has been asked a hundred times or so, but wasn't sure where to search.

So we log onto the owners circle at BMWUSA.com and click on our specific BMW to be, click on order tracking, only to realize that the dealerships have the most updated info. The BMWUSA website info, on the other hand is two-three days old? What's up with this?

I believe the dealerships get daily reports on a sheet of all their cars, thus they know more. I do think that if they have the OC that they should have it up to date, or at least update it daily so you know instead of playing a game and having you wait and not giving you real info.

i know, there are three ways for us to track our order, 1. OC 2. 800# 3. the dealer. all three of these offer different, more or less updated, information. i don't get it. don't they pull all from the same database? if not, what an inefficient system having three copies of the same object floating around and having scripts or cron jobs setup to update it every now and then. doesn't make sense to me at all.

BMW Centers use (DCS) BMW network that is live. It has the most current info of any system other than what BMW NA or AG corporate offices may have.
