Good Shops in Houston
Hey all,
Looking for a shop to maybe do my clutch install. I'm always a DIYer and hate paying someone to do something that I can do myself, but I'm really having a hard time finding the time to do it between work, traveling, and my other hobby (building a rockcrawler). I'm new to BMWs and don't really know where to look for a good shop in Houston. I called one place and got a quote for $750 in labor to do the clutch, with me providing all the hard parts. For that kind of money, the car can sit till I have time to work on it. Hoping I can find someone to do the clutch/flywheel for a reasonable amount in labor. If I can I'll just drop the car off and let someone else do it, as much as I hate to. So, Houston peeps... good shops/recommendations? Thanks, Cory |

I took my car to Collins Automotive north of the City. I was recommeded to him by another guy who works on quite a few BMW's (price was near your quoted #). Mike installed my spec 2+ and did a great job. I would not advise you to take it to a shop who is unsure of what they're doing - quite a few horror stories with the clutch work on these platforms. Shoot me a PM if you need more details.
