Took me a real long time to get it off, but it eventually came off. Make sure after you get it off to inspect bit the ring and the O-ring. I put my old one back on and when I filled up my tank all the way it leaked a lot... I took it back off and found a slight cut in both the screw top and the O-ring. $15 later for a new screw top and o ring it was perfectly sealed

I has having a hard time also.
I sprayed WD-40 into all the holes so it would soak into the threads. As soon as I was done I tried giving it another wack and it came off immediately. Good Luck |

Try my home made tool , makes it sooooo easy....
Square aluminium profile cut at 15 cm mark 13 cm between center holes where you fit two M8 bolts. Voila .... it was EASY!!!

Basically the bolts touch where the tabs are , so on both sides there is a bolt pressing on the tabs , you apply force with the lazy arm and ring comes of super easy.
I will take some more pics so its easier to see what I mean.

Here you go , hope this makes it easier
Pictures show how to use the tool for taking off the ring , and use of lazy arm to get proper force on the tool.

Since I got everyone's attention I might as well let you guys know. I did get the ring off and did the swap out with 455lph. Now for all that are going to use the PLASTIC T from McMasters make sure you push ALL hoses ALL the way on do not leave any room all. I left a little room where I could still see some white on the T I clamped very tight and it kept slipping off. I broke down several times until I got the hose all the way on and reclamped. Just a fair warning for all thats all. I am planing on using the brass T as I think the metal T provides a better bite when the hose tries to slip off. Just a thought I know Terry says it's not e85 compatible but.... In my tank I will not run 100% E85 it will be a mixture.

Just broke down again this time the hose did not slip off the T ! The expensive $30 gator hose from ORielly's didn't hold up and it had a big tear in it. I had been driving around a few days with just crappy 91 in the tank. As soon as i put e85 in the tank the hose lasted about 2hrs. I went to a local shop here and picked up e85 hose $15 per ft the looks really promising and I will be pulling the bucket out and installing the new hose tomorrow. I can get any one the same deal shipped this stuff is no joke if anyone wants some I have pics on my cell that I can send you just text me 505 908 4916........ it's better than spending $30!

Just curious where the line ripped for you? Could it have gotten caught up from binding somewhere in the bucket? It would be nice of we could just buy some of the extra stock orange fuel line that is used with a reducer or something to fit over the Venturi since we know that would stand up very well

I removed mine using a set of large multi grips.
So easy using this method, hammering didn't work for me as you cant get the right angle with a large screwdriver (its applying force in a downwards orientation v's side load) |
