Need help with rubbing issues

E92 335i on H&R sport springs and Koni yellow

Current setup:
19x8.5 ET35 with 245/35/19
19x9.5 ET33 with 275/30/19 (Fixed, not 275/35/19)

Previous setup:
19x8.5 ET28 with 235/35/19, and 19x9.5 ET30 with 265/30/19

I didn't expect the fronts to rub MORE than my previous setup when backing up and turning the wheel all the way. Rear fenders will be rolled in a couple days.

So i checked where it was rubbing and it was rubbing on the passenger side oil cooler vent, besides removing the vent, is there another way to give it more room like somehow bring the fender liner forward? Someone mentioned about ziptie-ing the vent forward, but I have no idea where to tie the vent to?

Newbie question: There isn't much space between the front tires and the strut/shocks either, if I remove the alignment pin to give the front a bit of negative camber, would it touch the shock or does the alignment pin move everything together (shocks, wheels and rotors and etc.)?

I like the look of the 245 tires vs the 235 tires, so I'm not planning to change tires.

Thanks for the help.

That is the main reason for your rubbing. 245 tires are over a quarter inch taller and also wider by 10mm, so if you rub, you need to remount your 235s because they are the correct size and same diameter as the 275s in the rear.

It's not a matter of just looks, but style with functionality. That's why you have a BMW. It has style AND functionality, until you start going outside recommended boundaries...

Just sayin'

Tires are 10mm wider but the wheels also 7mm more sunk than before, I actually have 2mm more space between the tires and the fender.

It is only rubbing slightly on the oil cooler vent, if I remove the vent, the rubbing is completely gone. There is maybe 2 inches of space behind the vent that my wheels can use, so I just wanted to see if I can move the liner forward and use that 2 inches of space. Even half an inch will make the rubbing go away.

P.S. My previous setup with 235's with half the tread left on the tires were also rubbing on the oil cooler vent, but a little less than now.

Alignment pin removal wont change tire/wheel to strut distance thats all fixed.

With regards to your tire size it seems your overall outside diameter is just to big, I'd go back down to a 235 or maybe go with a 245/30
