Stock to FBO on a saturday!

Got my VRSF 7" FMIC/ Downpipes, in this past week and on initial unpacking was very happy with quality of both items both looked top notch! Along with that I had a Mr. 5 intake setup that I put on.

I tackled modifying the stock intake box first, letting the RTV dry by the time I was ready to put it back in, then came the FMIC which I must say if you are having second thoughts of not getting the 7" because of cutting I would definitely not worry about the cutting it was super simple and only took 10 min with a dremel. The VRSF 7" fit in there and lined up perfectly! And you cant beat T-clamps and couplers they provide with it, all around a great product very happy I went with this guy!

Next I ran the ducting with an AFE cone filter for the intake and put the stock air box back in with a drop in Macht Schnell filter. Everything went great there

Then it came time for the Dp's which I wasn't wasn't too worried about but had some concerns due to reading threads in the past, and having to work on the ground with jack stands. I have an xi, so after getting in to it I realized that the sub-frame was definitely going to have to be dropped. I did it probably like everyone does unbolt the two engine mounts front each side (2bolts a piece) support the engine with something underneath it not touching the sub frame and then support the sub-frame unbolt it and lower it down slowly letting the suspension support it. This gave me enough room to pull both dp's out.

Now getting the new VRSF dp's in... the clamp that holds the smaller of the two pipes to its turbo was a bit changeling but after that was in everything else went great! These dp's fit perfectly I had NO issues getting them to line up again another GREAT product from VRSF that I am very pleased and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone if you are in the market for a set of dp's

Here's a couple pics from them build

Yeah I'm running the cobb stage2+ sport it pulled like a BEAST last night! But sadly this morning I am getting some misfires here and there on startup mostly.... but I kind of saw that coming so I have new plugs that I'm going to put in this afternoon hopefully that fixes it if not time to dig a little deeper

Congrats man you will NOT be disappointed!

Very cool.

A bit OT but what wheels are you running, reason I ask because I want to get the front splitters but not sure how they would look on my XI (Have some color as well). You have any pictures of that?

Thanks

What size tires (F/R) are you running? Filles up the wheel gap much better than stock.
