Cost of resonator delete?
Whats the average cost of deleting the resonator on the E90 ? I was thinking $50-$60 is fair but the shop I usually use quoted $140.
Am I getting played whats the best price? Would 2nd cat+resonator be the same? |

They are making love to your rectum
I paid $60 to have my aftermarket mufflers cut off, new pipes fabbed between the new set of mufflers welded, and custom pipes welded on the rear for tips. |

Phoenix AZ. I wanted to just give him more money because he did such a great job and I couldn't believe it was so low.
Google exhaust shop and muffler shop, read reviews, go to the one with the best reviews in the shittiest area and get it done for half that price. |

In South Jersey near Philly I paid $160.00 to have the 2 secondary CATS removed and 2 Vibrant resonators installed. I had so much rasp from my cat-less down-pipes and secondary's removed I was ready to lube up myself and take whatever the shop gave me. The good news is it now sounds perfect.

Well they charged me $120. Sure it was a little high but I hope to think they did a decent job. They certainly spent a lot of time on it.
When I left the shop I didn't like it, the drone is there at 3k RPM (while shifting) but after driving it for a hundred miles there is barely any drone while cruising. My favorite part is downshifting to first gear it makes a nice rumble and pop noise. Overall its ok for $120, I am not happy but I am not upset either. |

I needed an inspection and needed to get my tickets signed off so I went to the "nicer" shop to get everything done in one shot, but trust me I will not be going back.....the work took so long and not worth it. Plus the "bad" area shop was closer as well. |
