Do I need an oil catch can or valve cover or both?
I found a leak while working on my car and did some more investigating to find that there was a good amount of oil in my charge pipe. Do you guys recommend the BMS occ or should I check something else? I'm running procede with a FMIC and BMS intakes. Someone before mentioned to check the valve for the PCV system but I don't know where that is. And what aftermarket options are there for this valve cover? Thanks!

Car started blowing oil past the piston rings, and the car would smoke even with secondary cats in place. I concluded that it was due to excess pressure in the crankcase, because the OCC was reducing the proper vacuum needed to release the pressure through the check valve. The pressure had nowhere else to go except past the rings taking some oil with it. Went through a turbo set and a check valve. Turbos were dry. Day I took it off, within 10 miles no smoke. Replaced it with a new OEM check valve and an RB valve in the cover, and haven't had a crank pressure issue since.
Now I don't reccomend it to anyone. Again others have seen better results, but my FMIC is my OCC. Just clean it out every few thousand miles, and you get the peace of mind of proper crankcase pressure. |

I am against catch cans after going through 2 valve covers in 50k miles. Had the can off for 20k and maybe the valves get a little dirtier but they are going to get dirty on this car anyways.

A lot of crankcase ventilation issues are blamed on catch cans when in fact it is the valve cover itself...if the ports from the head leading to the valve cover are clogged you will get a pressurized crankcase.
