RBTurbo plate review/DIY

I must say as always Rob Bech knocked it out of the park yet again! I got the RB plate and polished it up (Polished nicely), after installing this plate I realized this is more than just a cosmetic plate. The plate seperates the oil line nicely and also follows the contour of the oil filter housing much better than the previous plate I had. With this plate seperating the oil lines you will get a lot less rubbing!

Great job Rob!!!

Not knocking RB but i don't see a difference between the stett and rb delete plates. The only difference i could see that would set one from another is if one blocked the hot/cold oil completely. Other than that it'll be all the same. Comes to cosmetics i guess. It dies look pretty though

Mostly cosmetic but I like how it separates the lines and like the contour of how it fits the housing better.

I will def be emailing you Rob for getting this incredible looking plate. It really makes the RB logo and the new AN fittings for the oil cooler lines much more visible and professional, so to say great idea for us guys that dont have an upgraded oil cooler but still want to make the engine bay look stout and aggressive I think you have hit that right on the spot Good Job Rob!!! as always AMAZING WORK!!!

Yeah there really isn't a difference functionally. The only reason I made this plate is that I was approached from someone about making one, and they had indicated that the Stett plate was not available for purchase (perhaps he meant a la carte). So I figured why not make one and offer it a fair price.

This will happen eventually, but I doubt it will be cheap. I'm the type to spend the $$ and get the best stuff, so at the end of the day you'll really have to look at the kits components to make true price comparisons. If you just look at the dollar amount, it may not look as good. I really have not priced any of the other kits out there though either, so not sure what is really available and at what costs.

If anyone is interested one of these that is a one-off unit, I have 1 more that is a blank plate (ie. no logo) and has 1/2-14 NPT threads. The only difference between this unit and the production unit is that the production units use a M18x1.5 thread instead of the NPT. This last one off will sell for $50 shipped (to the USA). PM me if interested.

Thanks,
Rob
