COBB AP V3 Discussion
Hello all. I'm sure most are aware of the new AP hitting the streets for BMW at the end of August. Haven't seen much discussion about what it provides over the V2 outside of the pretty graphics COBB put out.
Some things I am curious about if anyone cares to try and answer or discuss: [1]I noticed on NASOIC/EVOM that the V3 is selling out and some dealers are just out of stock for a while. Will this have an impact on the BMW release date? Logistics wise I'd think most the tuners already have them in stock holding to ship out until that date, but will the other platforms selling out have an impact on restock if ours sell out as well? IE Will resupply for BMW if they sell out be longer since they would re-up the other platforms that were released earlier first? ect ect. [2] I've seen some say there is a clip that comes in the kit to attach to vents and some say not. Not certain if the clip would be different across platforms ect. I'm leaning towards getting a window/suction mount anyway but am curious about the clip since I know my patience won't wait for me to find one before plug-n-play. [3] I'm assuming, but figured I'd ask, that Zasquatch's graphing setup will work just fine since the software is the same in the AP V3 right? [http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=665232] Linked. [4]Similar line of thought the ATR software will work on the V3 day 1 right? I like fiddling with my tunes (come from DSMtuner) [5]Why no red face plates? Damnit. Feel free to add on questions or answer away. |

1) If you pre order its expected to ship on the 30th of the month while supplies last.
2) There is a picture on our website of the clip. 3,4,5 I cannot answer with confidence. |

There was a thread on the V3 started about a month ago. Could be a useful read?

All I know is that they will start shipping soon and that protuning freaks will have the best deal on them with their pro tune. I can't wait to upgrade mine. The new one looks amazing. I might do a custom color plate on mine to match the dash trim. Glad I didn't spend money on a P3 gauge recently.

Yes it will work. Weather or not it will work without recoding some features is a different question. Which brings us to the bombshell.... Due to lack of support from the end user, I will be migrating towards a paid application. $5 will get you access to all future updates, debugging, troubleshooting, etc. Stay tuned for updates, the details are still being ironed out.
