Used JB4 high price?

What's the deal with the ridiculous asking prices of used JB4's? Are people actually buying used units just to save a measely 20$?? Or should I be low balling the crap out of people on Kijiji/Craigslist? I can't see myself spending more than 300-350$ tops.

More as in what?? Everything I've seen listed was a JB4 with G5 board. I just bought one today, guy had it listed for 480$, I threw him an offer of 350$ since they are 480$ brand new, and he accepted the offer right away.

Isn't low balling how craigslist works?

Probably because if he put it on Craigslist for $350, people would be offering him $220.

Honestly, I understand the OP's points... Things lose value and a JB4 is one especially when people hack apart the harnesses and etc. It's a harness not a Cobb or Tablet, it should lose more value. Why would one buy a JB4 for $400-450 when they go brand new for $480 without a coupon...

Did you read the original post? I wasn't complaining, I was asking if this is what people are actually paying for these things. I feel like a real asshole to lowball people, so I didn't want to until I heard if it was actually acceptable to others to pay virtually brand new price for a used unit. I sell a lot of stuff on Kijiji, and it's guaranteed I will get a bunch of people email me saying "Hey, I can get this same thing somewhere else for half the money". I want to punch those people in the nuts, if you found such a smoking deal then go buy it. What are you wasting my time for?

I suppose. But on the other hand, how many people who aren't complete dicks just scroll right by and not bother offering since the price is so out to lunch?

Anyway, I guess I got my answer on my own since nobody else has much insight. Anyone else looking for a JB4, just lowball on them

Im with ya, 400 for a used jb4 with the usb cable i feel should be worth about 300. Which is a "lowball" offer that i just through out to someone selling one right now and was turned down without even a meet in the middle or anything.. I personally would (am) spend the extra 100 for a new one with the used onesisted at this price.

But, as long as there is someone willing to pay almost new prices for a used unit, can't blame the seller one bit...

With as many potentially very expensive repairs that can pop up once you start modifying 335s, if you are complaining about $100, you should leave your car stock. The JB4s have great resale because they work well and they are in demand. It is as simple as that.

I think that's a reasonable used price, 300-350 that is!
