F/S: 2014 335i M-Sport Suspension
Hey Bimmerpost, I know this might be a long shot considering how many 335i suspensions are up for sale on the forum, but I thought that I'd list it anyway. I'm selling the complete front/rear suspension (..struts/shocks/springs) from my 2014 335i M-Sport for $300 OBO (..scratch that, $225 plus shipping). Obviously this will only appeal to 320i or 328i non-M package car owners. If you're interested, shoot me a P/M. Thanks! SOLD! Last edited by Sedan_Clan; 11-22-2013 at 11:14 AM.. |

Apologies for sounding plebeian but is the M sport suspension different than the sportline suspension? And furthermore, does the two differ on a 328i vs a 335i?
I'm under the impression it's the same. Thanks |

I believe the M-Sport and Sportline are the same on the 335i, but it does differ from that of the 328i. I just don't want car parts building up in my garage, so I need to move this stuff out. Hell, I may sell it for $225 plus shipping!!! Last edited by Sedan_Clan; 10-30-2013 at 08:17 PM.. |

BUMP. Price drop! $225 plus shipping. Shocks/struts are coming off of my car in about a week's time. I'm just waiting for the Bilstein's to arrive.

It won't raise the height of a base car. It will drop your ride height.

Even still, the drop rate is the drop rate. There was a member with a 335i using 328 coilover suspension because there was no 335i-specific coilover suspension available from the manufacturer at the time of purchase (...I think it was KW). You should be able to use these. I'll do some research for you. |

Even H&R has different springs for 6-cyl and 4-cyl engines. But only the 6-cyl specifications are sold in the US, that is why all 328's are a bit high in the front. |

328i uses higher spring rates (stiffer) to compensate for the lighter engine while 335i uses lower springs rates (softer), the dampers are valved differently as well to match the corresponding springs, this creates a 50:50 weight distribution upon all four tires. Why ruin the suspension geometry and handling that BMW engineers spent hours upon hours to perfect?

To each their own. If it's perfect for you, great! That "engineering" argument can be extrapolated infinitely. Why change the wheels on a car that BMW spent hours upon hours to perfect? Why change the power/torque output and engine characteristics on a car that BMW engineers spent hours to perfect? Why.....<insert a million other BMW perfection questions here>? The suspensions on road cars are compromises between comfort, safety - for less than capable drivers - and tractability. Road cars in general are compromises. In stock form they are perfect.....for the average person (..with more understeer dialed than is preferable, among other things), not for those of use who prefer a different type of driving dynamic (..thank God for the aftermarket).
