Carlos,
i) BSOD (Blue screen of death) is when your PC gets a blue screen and an error and has died ii) Vista asks permission for just about everything So it is a joke along the lines of...would vista ask for permission to basically die on you. You had to be there I think

No, it's the term by which it has become known - I don't think it is officially called that although Microsoft may have adopted it now
It is basically just a bad crash, sometimes a reboot sorts it..other times your installation is f***ked. That message isn't real from vista (at least I don't think so, although the software must kick in to handle the BSOD so I don't see why it doesn't recover from it!), I suspect it has been mocked up in photoshop - you don't get a warning with bsod.

That error could be due to you connecting a USB printer or any other usb device - unplug it and try again - you may need to update your drivers

I installed the BSOD screensaver on some of my colleagues computers a while back. You can imagine the expletives that came out when they returned from lunch thinking all their work was lost
Vista users? Anyone out there not disabled UAC (User Access Control)??? What a pile of useless annoying crap that feature is!!!

You can, in the Security Center, on the right there a comment that says 'Change the way Security Center alerts me', click this and select the option for Shut the F~@K UP, and then it'll leave you alone. Mark. (Back again, briefly)

The only issue with that presumably is that it won't notify you about updates either? I like to see when new updates are available and downloaded when it suits me.
