APR already tuning the RS7: 123hp/179tq on 93 Octane

APR Stage I ECU Upgrade Calibration Report

Stock:
553 HP & 516 FT-LBS of Torque - As reported by Audi
582 HP & 563 FT-LBS of Torque - As measured by APR

APR Stage I ECU Upgrade:
645 HP & 656 FT-LBS of Torque +90 HP @ 3,350 RPM & +134 FT-LBS of Torque at 3,400 RPM - 91 Octane
674 HP & 700 FT-LBS of Torque +123 HP @ 6,650 RPM & +179 FT-LBS of Torque at 3,450 RPM - 93 Octane
728 HP & 744 FT-LBS of Torque +162 HP @ 5,350 RPM & +223 FT-LBS of Torque at 3,500 RPM - 100 Octane

These are crazy good numbers for this car. It appears Audi kept the "underestimated" numbers for the RS7 as they did with the S8 after seeing the stock numbers. Of course this is a vendor so you will see the best but Id be happy with less and those gains. And we still can't get a "true" tune for the S63tu. I need to drive the car though as I hear the steering is not all so great.

Those are significant jumps for the Audi. Would be great here as 93 octane is prevalent. And you are right about BMW. What a shame. Fighting a fight that isn't doing them any service. How many will defect to Audi simply for the ability to do what they WANT to their car?

Come to the ""AWD side"....

Best I can find is 93 with ethanol. Only gas station that didn't put ethanol in their gas just switched.

That tune makes that Audi a monster by the way. I rearly don't understand why they can't figure this type of thing out for BMW...

I know of a BMS 93 octane tuned M5 that ran a 7.9 60-130mph on a 1.3% declining slope...

Yep very fast--- I am relatively impressed with the AWD putting down such numbers with the tune since the 60-130 hurts an AWD car with DT loss.

God how I wish Audi had made an RS6 Sedan and imported it to the US. I just cannot force myself to like the RS7 body style.

I bet I'm older than you Vic! lol.

Funny about the E60 M5. I hated the E60 design at first but eventually flew to Cincinnati and drove home a 2006 M5 sight unseen. God how I grew to love that car; even the weird ass! lol

Love your new Merc. The M Division should hang their head in shame that we don't have seats like that in the current M5.

I hear you about the E60; however seemed to have been the only one that I knew who actually liked the design when new and it only got better in my eyes. The sport model was especially h**ny

Yeah I hear you big. I just left the damn Porsche dealer a few minutes ago. That Turbo S is burning a serious hole in my pocket!

I like the S but the std turbo is only a tic slower and about 30k lighter--- I guess its all up to what one wants to spend. I dont know if Im gonna Turbo this time as the GT3 is in my wheelhouse and Im ready to spin.

Might have a point there man but unfortunately I have that "latest and greatest" syndrome like you. I'll spend all that money and go "what if"? Besides, my buddy Tim will show up with an S and laugh at me.
