Problems re-connecting with Bluetooth (06' 325i)
I have sync. up my phone with my car and has worked fine. When I get back to my car and try to connect, it just doesn't connect. It just stays looking for the phone. I have taken it to the dealer and it does the same thing with them. They are going to do a software upgrade which is needed due to the production date of my car but it will take almost all day to do. Any suggestions on what can be causing it not to sync. everytime? Thanks. (Motorola 330)

if you are able to do it the first time, it should be able to connect automatic, unless you have turn the bluetooth off on your phone.

What is the production date for your car Pavila? Mine is late Oct. 2005. Once I paired my Razor phone, it works amazing, even the hands free voice activated dialing (the button on the steering wheel).
BUT....I would say maybe once every 7-8 startups, the computer keeps saying "searching for paired devices". Once I turn the car off, it always finds it. It is frustrating, but not worth it to me, to turn the car into the idiots at the dealership, and have them fuck something else up. All in all, I think this Bluetooth is way better than in my 05 M3. |

It happened to me once. I have mot v330. 1 time, the bluetooth did not get recognized, so I was like wft. I turned off the bluetooth on my phone and then turned it back on (sort of like restarting a computer). And it works like a charm from then on. Never had problem since then. Try that before taking it to dealer.

Happened to me too, got it paired up right the first time, worked for a good 3-4 days and then just wouldn't pair up again. But I had my phone set to search for a bluetooth "device". Once I set it to search for a bluetooth headset, it's worked perfectly ever since.

My production date is in October 2005. The dealer has already told me that the car need a full software upgrade. I wonder if with the upgrade it will take care of this problem. Right now I am just taking a chance on it to connect but most of the time it does not connect. Thanks.

This problem is cropping up with E90s. Bought mine in October and installed phone in November. Just got my car back from the dealer after 2 times to fix the BT. The car has received the latest programming twice. The first time the dearler also replaced the TCU. Now BMW has a service bulletin out on the BT issue. My repair reads "Waiting for BMW to complete research on this concern." Check out the BT threads in particular "Motorola E815 and Bluetooth".
