Microfilter (Cabin Air Filter) Service Light?

I just changed my cabin air filter and, after reading various posts/threads, inserted the key fob and turned the car on (without starting the engine) to reset the "microfilter" service light (as instructed) BUT when I scrolled through the options, there wasn't a microfilter service light there; just the vehicle check, oil change, brake fluid, front brake and rear brake service lights.

Is there still a microfilter service light option for 2008 and later 335i E90 N54s or am I missing something?

Yup. As I mentioned abovee, got to the menu but the microfilter wasn't there. Just the vehicle check, oil change, brake fluid, front brake and rear brake CBS (conditional Based Service) lights.

BMW dropped it from the CBS as a maintenance notification in 2008 cars. It's now every 2nd oil change, which is around 30,000 miles per nominal BMW OCI requirements. My '06 has the microfilter maintenance notification in the CBS and my first 2 change intervals were both just over 49,000 miles each. The third change was at a 59,000 mile interval, and the last one I did was a 56,000 mile interval. Other than keeping the HVAC system clean, I'm not sure what good the things actually do. And BTW, the HVAC blower motors on the E9X suck anyway and you may get a few years out of them before the bearings go bad.

Thanks for the info. Just bought the car w/85k miles on it. It looked dirty, so I changed it. Looks like it fits in w/the 30k mile cycle; just a bit early.
