Fiber optic hook up?

Anyone know of a double din navigation head unit that has a fiber optic in and works with the BMW logic 7 amp

It still can be done just not with the stock amp and you also need to relocate the stock headunit.

Are you saying to piggy back the OEM head unit to the new NAVI unit?

DIY??

The basic answer is there is no way to use the l7 amp

The basic answer is there is no way to use the l7 amp
without the stock head unit . And there won't be till someone
makes a reverse translation circuit that converts analog to
the fiber optic output and either incorporates it into a head unit
or as a stand alone device.
Yes you can still build a system but there is no way as of yet
to integrate the L7 amp into an new system using and aftermarket
head unit.
If you are replacing the amp you aren't integrating it into the system.

You need an aftermarket amp and the new head unit connects to it with rca's. The stock head unit needs to be relocated to prevent errors and also so BMW can connect to your car over MOST.

If that doesn't scare you away I can give you some more info on this. Do you have a certain headunit in mind?
