FS: Brushed aluminum vinyl wrap for interior trim

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Have some left from my recent install. Very nice material and super easy to work with. Much better grain and appearance than the 3m...I've sampled all the other brands. This is enough to do one full set pre lci e90 if you don't have issues. It's about 1ft by 7ft. The center section will have an unnoticeable seam if you take your time, or do vertical grain.

I was able to diy this a few hours with a hairdryer never having worked with vinyl before, and it looks perfect.pics coming soon

$25 shipped to conus

Honestly it turned out pretty good for never worked with the stuff before. Only a few areas where the vinyl tore because I was not careful enough...cant notice it unless you are looking. The seam on the CC is also not noticeable unless inspecting it closely.

What I have left should be just enough for another car...if you are efficient in cutting. Its very stretchable with heat, probably 30%

So you have to use 3M Super 77 Spray to attach this film - it's not self adhesive backed?

Its adhesive backed with pressure sensitive, really easy to readjust. Air channels so you dont get bubbles

OK, only reason I asked is on Destron's Garage install instructions for their wraps, they show having to use the 3M. For what I want to do (not interior trim) that would be no good...

If it truly is pressure sensitive adhesive backed with the air channels - I'll take it & give it a try.

Some tips for install-

Pull all your trim off first and align it on the vinyl so you get the most efficient use of the vinyl. If you end up being short ill pm you a link to get more for cheap.

Use a hair dryer on the contour parts and stretch it. This takes practice and patience.. The vinyl is forgiving and lets you adjust several times.

On the holes for vents and shifter, put a lot of heat on the opening and push the vinyl down so you can get some on the inside.

Use exacto when you want to trim or cut.

Be sure the trim is clean and your hands are free of any oils when handling so it doesnt affect the adhesive
