help! - Rear defrost stopped working 2006 323i

I have a 2006 323i and my rear defrost does not work. I have checked the fuse and its good. i see there is a rely but cant test it. I may buy a new one. Apparently i have a low battery. i think original battery from 2006 and when car is off and key is on with radio, the yellow battery light comes on right away. If my battery is low would it stop the rear defrost from working? other " convenience" features such as heated seats, radio, blower, sunroof - all work fine. is this a rear defrost issue or a battery issue? thanks for your help

Your issue seems to be a dying battery. The car shuts off whatever feature creates the most power draw to save the battery charge..
