Tranny fluid
Has anyone had their tranny fluid changed in the 08620 area? (Princeton NJ) ? At 95k now and think I'm going to get it done.

I had my changed my whole trans pan, filter, and gasket at the bmw dealer in tenafly. You can do it yourself with novice knowledge in mechanics. there are a lot of fyi on you tube and it will save a lot of money! Only buy BMW manufactured parts, in my opinion...

I did mine at 112k miles, no drastic change, maybe slightly smoother shifts, but I'd say change it and then you won't have to worry about it for a long time

Isn't there a school of thought that states that you shouldn't change out the (auto) tranny fluid unless you've been doing it regularly (before 50k)?

I would say a resounding YES!!! I keep going back to them over and over even tho they are about an hour drive away from me. Once you go to them and interact with them... you will be won over. I give them an A++++ for quality, service, and price.
