Transmission Clunk. Need Advice!

Hey Everyone. I just bought an 08 e92 335i 6MT that is coming off it's CPO at the end of the month. I took the car in to the dealership because whenever I disengage the clutch I get a huge clunk that I can hear and feel. The clunk also happens when shifting into reverse. Read a few of the forums on here that say the problem is probably the throw out bearing or within the differential itself. I heard back from my SA and he said that the techs performed a road test and they determined the car was performing as it was designed to.
I know they are full of crap. How do I get them to take care of this problem by the end of the month when they don't think there's anything wrong with it? I don't have time to take the car to another dealer and the clunk is driving me nuts as it is really loud.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Had an identical issue and it was the diff. Sadly BMW do not supply replacement internal parts for their diffs, so it's a case of full replacement - not cheap...

I am assuming that it should be covered by my CPO. Just don't know how to get the dealer to change it after recognizing the problem

I assume you already did this- but, be very descriptive about the problem, describe it so it's easy to reproduce every time, maybe even say "it sounds like it's coming from back here". You can always call BMW na

Thank you all for the advice. My SA said that when I go in to possibly pick up my car tomorrow I will drive around with the tech and try to replicate the clunk. Hopefully my car actually has the symptoms during the ride. I will also update my description of the problem to be as exact as possible to have the problem down on paper as I am now officially out of warranty
