Any feedback on EMG auto sales ?
Hello everyone on this regional forum.
I am looking to purchase a BMW and saw this dealership on autotrader. It is in NJ. Did anyone deal with this dealership before? Any recommendation whether to consider or avoid their cars? |

Looked at a Jeep SRT there, had trans issues and they played them off like they're nothing.
Also, DO NOT believe their online pricing, they will add $1,000 right off the bat for an oil change, "100 point" inspection, and detail. Plus outrageous other fees. The Jeep was online for 22,500. After the BS fees, and charges, it came out to around 25,000-26,000. I drove 1 hour up there, to find out the original truck I wanted to see "just sold" while driving up, and to look at their other options. Classic bait and switch tactics.

Place is total BS. Right before i bought my G35 in 2009 i found an e46 coupe there that was interested in. I get there and they tell me it "just" got sold when i called like an hour before i got there. that ad for e46 was up for another month online after. Oh and did i mention hidden charges???

My girlfriend was shopping for Audi A4's there. Nice cars, just a horrible place to do business. Hidden fee's and what seems like a situation where they would promise to fix issues and never do it.

I've had my eyes on this place for weeks. They do have nice cars from what I can tell and I've been wanting to check a couple of them out, but based on reviews I've read online, I've become a little nervous.
On Cars.com and Yelp, there's nothing but negative reviews. Reviews raged from "they add $3k to internet prices" to "it's been 3 months and I still don't have my plates". There are some 4-5 star reviews, but I would bet a fair amount of money that they are written by their own staff. Most 5 star reviews are written all on the same date, and on all of them it says that the customer ended up buying a car that same day. I highly doubt this place sells anywhere near 15+ cars per day. Also, the 4-5 star reviews are all very specific about the names of the employees. I doubt that the average person would remember the full names and positions of 3+ employees even if they did get a good deal. I'm still planning on checking this place out just because they have a car I'm very interested in and they aren't far from me, but I'll be sure to walk away at the slightest sign of trouble. |

SAME SAME crap they did to me,
Called, Spoke to a guy and I confirmed the car was there, a 335i 2009 M-Sport in LeMans blue, It was on eBay, and cars.com etc, Yes yes yes we have the car come on down, I explained I'm over an hour away yadda yadda, No problems come down, They called me twice that morning to confirm I was coming and I'm on my way, 10 mins from arrival they call me again, Ohhhh if I had only had an updated inventory list, They cried, We JUST sold that car yesterday night and I was off yesterday, I'm so sorry but seeing as your down this way come in and see our other piece of shit cars we have and we will try to sell you them, I was fvcking furious , I flipped out in the showroom, made a total arse of myself and left before I realized I fell for the oldest trick in the book on the way home, The arsehole dealing with me was Johnathan, Upon driving home I called the then owner of my beautiful 335i I own now and said I'll meet you in an hour, 1 hour 30 mins later I had bought the best 335i I had seen, and I looked at 8 of them, Their bullshit helped me find my dream car and it turns out I couldn't be happier and low and behold, the car that was JUST sold the night before I came down, Popped up on ebay again for sale, And yes while in the dealership they tried pleading with me to buy cars they did actually have, All high mileage 335's, They had one 335is I drove, I figured I'm not driving an hour and passing an opportunity to drive an is, So I did and left, They also said the internet price wasn't the actual selling price and there was that $1000 dealer fee and a this fee and that fee, I gave them way more time and patience than I should of, But I felt after flipping out the decent thing I could o was hear them out, I guess that's the Brit in me trying to be proper, But long story short, Stay away, Had such a dodgy feeling about that place the second I arrived, and earned a valuable lesson from it, Con artists, the car in question, Seems to have gone up in price, Maybe thats because this car has a party trick mine doesn't, It can vanish and re-appear http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-Series...US_Cars_Trucks and don;t be fooled by the feedback, Its all for the owners manuals they take from the gloveboxes of cars they get and tell you it was traded into them without one I feel stupid for falling for it

If anyone goes there, and SOMEHOW makes a deal happen, please, make sure you read ALL of the forms you sign. I bet they have the classic used car joint tactics typed in there somewhere. I was told so much BS when I went there I was ready to reach across the desk and smack the guy
Also, if you're trading something in that still needs paid off, make sure you confirm with your bank it was paid off.

Same thing happened to me with hidden fees. Everything is negotiable I was able to get online price. What I always tell me is that some dealers might have had a bad week and didint sell anything so they will do anything to sell. Some have sold enough and wont budge a penny. You have to just walk out and leave sometimes.
