Did they sit either side of you and give you evil stares. Was this a lesson for the phone incident from last week.

Hi Carlos, yeah you're right it is a pointless post, but so what eh! Used to it Anyhow, how are you?

I've only just come on-line, am still at my Mum's house and she's yacking so I've walked off & come on here. Yes it is quiet tonight, maybe the others are doing something really exciting and we're missing out.

My mother is selling her bungalow as the property & garden are too much for her now, so she's selling up & getting somewhere smaller. I'm helping her with all the legal crap etc.

Yes thanks I'm fine, little sis. has just brought me a cup of tea, so I'll have a cig. in a minute. This is so exciting.

Carlos, if we think we maybe missing out on something, then chances are we are not. Makes sense doesn't it.

Looking fwd to the weekend. Had a bit of a crappy week, some muppet hit the back of my car and drove off. Then went to the bodyshop to book it in and on the way back something hit my screen and left me with 3 chips.

Not my week, just want to forget it to be honest.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. Hope the damage to the back isn't too bad. Are the chips in your eye view & they're not the type that may spread and eventually crack are they ie. when it gets really cold?

Thanks, they are in the passanger eye line and I will just keep an eye on them. No point in a new screen until they get worse as I'll only get others.

The bumper has a couple of bits of paint missing and some scuffing, cosmetic only but it's around the parking sensor and hence needs to come off to be sprayed properly.

Anyhow it's a pain on a month old car, but it's only the bumper. Much worse things happen in life so I am trying to be philosophical about it. It's in next Wednesday so it will be all sorted by the end of the week.

Hope you are well. Moving home is a stressful time so it's nice you are helping your mum.

Good mental approach Gibbo, you're right worse things do happen.

My Mum is only selling because my father passed away this year, so it's a financial move as well. She's only 64 so obviously could live for a good many years to come (hopefully). My Dad was only 67 & it really pisses me off sometimes how cruel life can be. Sorry I'm off on one now.

Hope the body shop do a good job & your car comes back good as new. TBH, you're right, stone chips can happen anytime. Had my E90 330i two weeks and a bloody great artic. lorry threw a stone at me & chipped the front bumper.

Make sure you're mum gets the right place for herself and she does not just jump in because somewhere feel nearly right. Good luck getting the right place, is she local to you.

Bodyshop is one which the local Porsche dealer use and it's by chance about 3 miles from my house. Got a recomendation from the Porsche UK buyer for sytner group who I know well. He says they do great paint work on all the approved used Porsche that mainly need nose resprays as they cannot be sold with any chips.

When I turned up at the bodyshop it's full of Porsche, Audi, etc so it's quality cars. But the best bit of news is the guy who is running the place is the ex service manager of our local Skoda dealership (my wife has had 3 fabia's) and he is the best service manager I have ever dealt with so I feel confident I will get a good job. Full bumper respray £250 cash.
