Style 95 Wheel owners step in

So I got the fenders rolled and 225/ 255 Michelin PSSs mounted ... Car has gained a lot of handling but I'm concerned

1- Suspension is now LESS stiffer from stock ? Did u guys notice this ?
2- I can take turns at much higher speeds than stock but seems like a little bit of turbo lag is kicking in ... Car is completely stock
3- Rears are .02% different & front 0.56% from stock - It cant get any darn closer than this, are they heavier ? they seem the same weight as stock sport

Not familiar with the wheels. Did you get an alignment? Are you using camber plates?

these are the 7 series Rims man, alignment is good (car doesn't pull sideways) - no plates, stock

If you think alignment is good because the car doesn't pull. You have some shit to learn. Trying to help you out. Toe has a huge effect on handling. Good luck with solving your issue.

When you say the suspension is "less stiffer than stock" do you mean the car rides smoother? As in less bumpy? If you didn't change your suspension then there is no way your suspension is "less stiffer". But ditching the stock runflat tires will almost always make the car ride smoother if that's what you're feeling. Hope that helps.

I switched from blizzaks lol

it could be PSS ride quality thats making it 'softer', the track width is considerably wider form stock (ET 24), ill try to take more pics

How about the obvious question, tire pressure? I would have done at least 245 out front and 265 out back. (Then again IDK the 7 series rim offset so perhaps that why you went conservative).

You can do 265's rear easy, not sure about the 245's front tho. I get minor rubbing with 235 fronts on e92. About the weight, style 95's are actually pretty heavy, over 30lbs ea I believe.

Not even close to the same weight as stock. From the car you posted, I'm going to assume you had the style 162s stock? If so, let's look at numbers.

Style 162 front weigh 29.7lbs each so that's 59.4 for both
Style 162 rears weigh 30.4lbs each, so that's 60.8 for both.
Total weight of all 4 style 162s is 120.2lbs

Now lets look at style 95s
Fronts weigh 32.6lbs each (65.2lbs for both) a total of 5.8lbs extra
Rears weigh 36.2lbs each (72.4lbs for both) a total of 11.6lbs extra
So total weight of all 4 style 95s is 137.6lbs (total of 17.4lbs extra

So, they are significantly heavier.... and that's just the wheels. You also upgraded from an 18" tire to a 19" tire, wider widths as well. So there will be even MORE added weight in the tires. But let's just stick to the wheels for now. 17.4lbs is unsprung weight. A good rule of thumb to calculate unsprung weight is to say that 1lb of unsprung weight is approximately equivalent to 10lbs of weight in your trunk.... so just based off of WHEELS alone, you basically added 174lbs in your trunk. So it's like you're carrying around another person with you, just in the weight of the wheels alone. Let's round that up to 200 lbs with tires. So wheels and tires you're looking at probably the equivalent of 200 pounds extra weight.

Well over 30lbs, actually closer to pushing 40 in the rears, and that's JUST for the wheels.

How about the fact that the tires are brand new and not broken in yet. New tires are always slippery.

I just bought some style 95's and didn't even think about how much heavier they would be. This is great information and definitely something to consider.
