White on black with white contrast in most areas up front and some of rear seat.. So far have only done v1, aluminum pedals, clear side reflectors. Tinting it tomorrow. Took delivery two days ago. Only has 200 miles on it. Porsche made an excellent car, different animal than the M5.

Looks really nice. Jelly of the the new ride and the eternal sunshine!

I think they forgot to tint the front side windows. I know it isn't legal... but either is my missing front plate. Don't do that to such a car!!!

You'll be amazed at what these fuckers can do! A nice officer even complimented me on how fast mine got to 103 yesterday :-)

@Vic55
I only briefly used spot and sport plus. Noticed those modes increase idle by something like 50-100rpm. Much faster as well. Trying to stay in sport (to not use overboost) until I'm finished with break-in. Only 1700 of 2000mi to go.

@ColdList
Your dead on. Pretty damn amazed on how this car handles. It's handling ability is past my comfort zone.

I know it looks like the rear side window is darker than the other. In those photos the car glass is 100% factory. Just got it tinted today. 70/35/20 (wind/side/back). Came out great. Photos are at an angle so the film looks a bit darker than it really is.

Too bad he complimented me with a written invitation to appear in court-lol

I did get a break however. He wrote it for 85 mph to "help me out".

Beautiful car you lucky man! Those of you on this forum who are able to have both the M and the 911 TTS have a dream garage! Very jealous of a car I'll never be able to own.

Just ask the bieber, never say never

911 isn't that much more to lease than an individual M5. Also got a very good deal though.

lol.. of course. Big help that was. This machine is very fast.. one, two, and there goes sixty. I'm still deciding how much I like that electronic steering feature.

@Vic55 @ColdList

Okay.. um, what was Porsche thinking with the textured painted "rocker panel" (above the black rocker). Seriously now, why should any painted surface look like that?

Dang I had to go and check my car after reading this... Porsche did that on my last two TT's as well (cant remember on the 996). I think its to not show blemishes from rocks and other road debris since that location is very low to the ground. To me, it doesn't bother since its well below the line of sight.

I didn't notice it either, it wasn't until I started detailing it that I noticed.

It looks like they textured the metal, then painted it. Looks horrible. I think they doubled paint thickness on that area as well. Don't think it bothers me enough to do something about it.

But back to my point. Porsche couldn't just use paint protection film (like they do in other areas)? I wish they did.

My next mod is paint film. Front bumper and rear wheel arches (replacing factory film in favor of wrap around edge install).

I actually didn't like the plastic protection by the air inlets in front of the rear wheel arches on my white 997.2 TT or my white 991 C4S as it tends to discolor ever so slightly even with proper detailing. Some have actually replaced that clear cover with black (on white cars) and it actually doesn't look half bad. I wont do it on the guards red.

I am pretty sure Porsche uses 3M paint film.. as it's known to turn yellow.

Yet another reason why I'll be removing it. After a good detail I'll have the entire panel in suntek, wrapped around the edges so you can't see any lines.

It's really just a temporary film.. I see it that way at least. Until you have the time to get something installed.
