Warning sticker on visors

Anyone try to / successfully remove them? I would love to get rid of them but prefer status quo to making a mess and having it look like garbage when I am unsuccessful. Thanks in advance!

Oh it's hilarious. I wanted to mount it on the little door that covers the mirror on the passenger visor but it's too big. Not worth the $ to get a custom smaller one made.

This one is pretty good too but it's a bit to crass for my taste. The other was offensive but not over the top.

Yeah the other one, even if it's not your particular brand of humor, is at least amusing and relatively tame.

I'm 99.9% sure even if a female passenger were so inclined the worse sticker would kill any chances of in-vehicle action. Best to just let those things happen on their own.

I wonder if all countries require them. If not order sun visors from a country with out that requirement.

I think I could source some from Europe but the stickers aren't annoying enough to warrant the expense, was hoping for an easy way to remove them without damaging anything.

Or you can try to remove with adhesive remover. Might not be good on Antharzit as it could stain it. This guy seems to have done it.

Will check it out thanks!

You posted on the other thread this worked for you. Why don't you tell us if it did, instead of posting stupid comments.

Also you had the vinyl visors. On the alcantara, if you try to apply goo gone, or goof off or acetone, it will most certainly leave a stain or mark.

OP Your best bet. If you want a perfect result

Oh that's awesome thank you. Thought it would be a lot more. Assuming I'm not buying a new wheel this week will order a set for sure.

EDIT: just FYI that part number won't fit our car. Trying to track down the correct one should know in a day or two and will let you guys know.

A guy on babybmw removed the sticker using some elbow grease and nail varnish remover. Got 99% off.

I can't see why they wouldn't come off just like any on other BMW's plastic or cloth visors do with rubbing alcohol, a terry towel and some rubbing.

I'm just OCD and scared to try it bc unless it looks perfect I'll fixate on it and it will be a problem. Once I find out if I can source a Euro set I'll give it a shot and if it looks like crap I'll have new ones within a week.

The whole thing just amuses me bc in the US they feel the need to mandate warnings that should be common sense. If you don't know the shit that's on the sticker you shouldn't be operating heavy machinery to begin with.

Try it out. I wouldn't attempt it on alcantara, which is basically cloth.

I'm not sure if your labels are similar to ours on the E86, but FWIW here is a DIY that covers a couple of different techniques.

As Borat would say, "great success!!!" Just used goof off and a microfiber towel then a few coats of mothers vinyl leather rubber conditioner. Looks 99% perfect think with a few more coats of the mothers stuff over time it'll be there. One caution that goof off shit is nasty! Use in a well ventilated space. Unfortunately they just resealed my driveway so I'm quite high from fumes.

Remember reading somewhere that a guy soaked a towel in acetone then laid it on the label and wrapped the entire thing with plastic wrap. Left it like that a few hours then came back unwrapped and wiped it off. ***do this at your own risk as I've never personally tried it****
