Fighter Ace and Fighter Ace 1.5 !!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighter_Ace_(video_game_series)

From 1997. First online game where you could use Joysticks and Headsets to communicate with each other while flying/fighting. Friends and I would spend many, many, many hours playing this game. Was so addicting and fun. We were in the IC team. "Insane Clowns". I was IC_YO. The Monthly battles were epic. You could also type/send messages in real time to each other and enemies back and forth. It was a hoot !

Oh man, this thread got me going down memory lane. Video games and sports were my childhood. Some of my favorites were:

Blaster Master
Gradius
Contra
Castlevania
Metroid
Street Fighter
Mortal Kombat
Bionic Commando
Double Dragon
Battle Toads
And of course, MW2. Miss staying up until the morning hours playing with my buddies.

For me, nothing will beat the experience of playing this game:

Chrono Trigger! This was the first RPG I ever played and it was amazing. No other RPG afterwards ever gave me the same experience. Thanks for the nostalgic refresher. Totally forgot about this one.

I'm going to show my age with this one.

1. Arcade Galaga ('81)
2. Zaxxon (Colecovision) ('81)
3. Defender (Colecovision) ('81)
4. River Raid (Atari 2600) ('82)
5. Pole Position (Atari 2600) ('82)
6. Gran Turismo (PS1-PS4) ('97)
7. Onimusha 1-2 (PS1) ('97)
8. Silent Hill 1-2-3 (PS1) ('97)
9. Resident Evil 4 (PS2) ('04)
10. Kaido Battle 2 (JDM PS2) ('04)

I still play Gran Turismo, though the golden days of really fun tuning are gone, Onimusha 1 and RE4 (both upscaled for the PS4), but just those 3.

My biggest wish will never come true, and that's to have the original Silent Hill 1 and 2 upscaled for the PS4/PS5.

My favorite game all time was only in the arcade, and not many places had it. PLEADIES.

It was like a combination of Galaga, Defender, and Zaxxon.

I was going to say Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3. Those are "old" to me...

To fit with the theme, I would say Galaga. Love playing it
