Has anyone ever found out the real reason why BMW excluded the X5M/X6M from making the crackle and pop sounds? My previous 2019 X3 M40i crackled and popped and our vehicles are like a church mouse.
I called BMW and their reasoning was that it's an SAV and is more family oriented and needed to be quiet. I quickly mentioned the X5 M50i is also an SAV, is family oriented and it crackles and pops. He was stumped after that.
Just seems very odd that the X5 M50i crackled and popped but not the full M version of the X5.

Here are the valve units and here's where we tucked in the valve cable. We gave the car enough throttle, in Comfort & in neutral, for the valves to open. Immediately, we unplugged the connector from each of the valve modules on both sides so it stays permanently open no matter what.

How can you make the valve to open? Do we need to change the drive mode? My G05 has better sound when i change to Sport mode. But when parked in the garage, i didn't feel the passenger side's exhaust has the air come out. LoL
