Lady Jane wroteThese are Rose-ringed parakeets from Kaudulla national park. The male is on the right. Oddly the females of the Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Chordata, and Class Aves display duller color pallets, while the males tend to be more attractive and brightly colored. This is of course to attract the lack luster females.I'm not an ornithologist but I can always tell the female of the species.
