- there's no wire available for the fog light
- it seems like tedious to install
- we need to change the command buttons in the front as well
Another thread spoke about that and majority said to settle for no fog light due to complexity.
Will that be accepted by German inspection though ?!

Dunno if it's the type you want, but I think he got one installed on his American spec car in Belgium.
BMW128 wroteI dropped off mine for investigating the (cost of) change of the rear tail lights to have amber blinkers and the dealership told me they can't order the parts…Thanks. I've been following his thread. It appears that his bmw will be in the USA prior to requiring the rear fog so he has ditched the effort. My car will be at bmw next week because of a crash. The lead mechanic will research this for me.
Do let us know when you hear back on your side, I'm very interested to know.
BMW128 wroteHi, as per AE Reg 190-1 DTD 18 June 2020, C10. Lights, c. Fog lights are not required. Not sure where you got the info. Unless this is new. Please correct me if I am wrong.Has anyone successfully integrated an OEM foglight into a G05?

BMW128 wroteHi Bmw128,In Germany, ALL cars are equipped with at least 1 rear fog light. AE reg applies to USAREUR plates vehicles only.
You are correct, I just mentioned it because your post says you have an American car (usareur plates). I just can guess you want to change your car from us specs to German specs, correct? If so, let me know how it works for you as I might try to do the same in 3 years. Cheers!
In short... you can buy oem rear foglights... but you'll need to wire them to an aftermarket switch.
BMW128 wroteThat makes sense..... but if you buy an OEM switch from a European spec car, and hook it up.... it will throw a warning on your dash that says "rear foglights cannot be activated".My thought are to use the OEM BMW switch (w/ fog) to an external relay to an OEM foglight.
Trust me..... I know.
Drivers here put 6000K bulbs in fogs. They leave them on all the time. They code them to work with the high beams on. No wonder some cars here don't have front fogs now either.
thanks
