9th of June 2014. It was time for me to pick up my first BMW. Namely a 3 doors regular E87 120i with some 'M' parts (only aesthetic).

Car had 25.000kms on the clock and according the salesman this car used to belong to the secretary of the BMW Financial Director in Leipzig, Germany. With that said I was expecting to have a reliable car for the coming times. And I did! This 2L car was a fantastic experience and it definitely pushed me in making a total loyalty to BMW from the days i've been driving it. Drove the car to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, France and never ever had any problems whatsoever.

The car was sold 4 years later namely on June 2018 and I've decided to pick up a F20 M140i with only 17.000 kms. Car runs 5 doors and comes with turbocharged 3-litre straight-six. Engine is a real joy to rev right to its 7000rpm rev limit; it doesn’t lose any energy as it gets close to the red line and it continues to emit a distinctly six-cylinder timbre. Sadly, it sounds best from outside the car. Lovely 8 speed automatic gearbox!

Car was sold withh 135k. The B58's engine was another experience and I really enjoyed during the 4 years of ownership! And up not keeping the F20 as initially i wanted and got a OG 2018 M2 with 55k that i simply love! And yeah another white car!

Got my first when I was 14 I believe. Id been saving since I was 9 and sold my dirt bike to get the last little bit I needed. I had a friend who was a few years older and he let me drive his e36 sometimes. I fell in love! I was going to wait but couldn’t contain my excitement so jumped on the first one I found that met my criteria. It was a 5 speed e46 330ci, tiag/black. I loved that car.

- 2001 e46 330ci 5mt
- 2003 e46 330i ZHP 6mt
- 2003 e46 330i ZHP (supercharged) 6mt
- 2007 e90 335i (best car I’ve ever owned) 6AT
- 2003 e46 325it (m54b30/5mt swap)
- 2005 e46 330i ZHP 6mt
- 2009 e90 335i 6mt
- 2007 e90 335i (repurchased my old one) 6AT
- 2011 e90 335i 6mt
- 2009 e90 335i (current) 6AT

Wow! 3 Series the all way:thumsup: Any reason you stick in between 330i/ci and the 335i with a 325it also in the list?

I love the 3 series and e9x is my favorite though e46s still feel like home to me and are very nostalgic. I did a 330i engine swap in the 325it so it was really a 330it. I’d love to own an e46 m3 someday but sadly I missed the time to buy one since they’re outrageously priced right now :)

Oh, maybe six convertibles, six motorcycles, a whole bunch of 2002 and tiis, two E28s, two E39s, an E82, an E90 that just snuck in, and a few more. BMWs from about 1958 to 2013.

Have never been without a BMW for over 50-years.

We let a Benz and a couple Mazdas slip in there, but driving Bimmers for a while.
Mostly 3 series with a couple fivers. BEST were are the E30s... I miss those cars so much! From those we skipped over the E46s to E90s. I don't like my wife's F10, and am hoping she sees the light and upgrades to another E90.

In USA, I started with a brand new 2002 330Ci. Manual shift. I kept it for 17 years, barely hit 100k before I sold it. I regretted selling it. Miss the manual shift and the steering feedback, unmatched in all cars I have ever driven. Since then I owned 2018 330i Wagon. And my wife has been driving an X3. I recently joined the F90 M5 crowd. Driving a 2019 M5 now. Well, it is a beast. Insane power, and handling is amazing. But does not come close to the steering feedback of the E46 though.

Why did I stick with BMWs over the years? Well mostly because they drive so well. Plus their looks, image and better the devil you know. I did curse at BMW after seeing the cost for the X3 maintenance after the warranty run out. But I think it comes with the territory, I suspect all luxury cars are like that.
