chefwong wroteI tried one of those devices on my wifes X3 couple years ago. It would not let the vehicle go into sleep mode. Meaning the screen will be on the whole time even though you lock it already. The device is to keep the setting memory by not letting it shut off automatically. Depending on how good your battery is will determine when it will shut down. So the system will wait until it see that the battery is pass the low voltage threshold and it will eventually force the car to sleep mode. By going into a forced shut down , it was able to keep the ass mode in memory. That is how the device work.I’ve seen those ASS disable modules but not worth it to me as I’m more concerned about a parasitic draw that will leave me stranded one day
I sent messages to the seller stating my experience with the device, they ghosted me so quick lol. They knew what they were doing. I just toss that thing in the garbage .
