I have two Extended Warranty contract quotes, one from EG Assurance (via my dealer) and one from BMW. BMW is less expensive, seems like they are comparable (length of extension and mileage). Anyone have any experience with either to help me decide? I have read from posts about the overall pros and cons of Extended Warranty contracts just trying to assess if there are known differences between BMW and other third party companies.
thanks

I just bought a 2022 X5, curious about extended warranty. Did you ever get any private response or other reply to this post? Thanks!

I purchased an extended warranty from Christine Newman. Her contact details are below.
Her price was much lower than what my dealer offered and it does not matter where you get it as it is authorized by BMW.
There are a few references to Steve Thomas BMW here.

That would be through a 3rd party as BMW does not offer an unlimited miles ESC.

yes, i was shocked about it too...but it is in my BMW app showing the 7 years unlimited miles.

I purchased the x5 from BMW? Might be something new?

YO! just noticed you are from SA!

I got it from Prinicple of 10...

Also, where do you go for aftermarket parts install? Someone recommended to me VDL? He left BMW as a shop foreman and opened his own shop.

Do you know of him? Victor...

Did you buy it CPO? If so, then you got the BMW CPO Wrap Unlimited.

All, wanted to gauge thoughts on the quote I received for BMW platinum extended warranty. Have a 2019 x40i that the factory warranty is expiring next week. Does anyone have thoughts on the below?

84 months/75k miles $4350
84 months/100k miles $5050

As a follow up, went with Steve Thomas BMW for the 84/75,000 zero deductible option.

They were great, not inexpensive but worth giving peace of mind for my significant other.

Hi - Owner of a 2022 X5 45e and a 2023 X5 45e.

The 2022 was in for its 30K oil change last week and the SA noted that the covered maint period is soon ending. He provided pricing on the UC+ plans (1-4). $5849 for the 84K / 125K plan.

I'm looking for info on the following:
1) What is covered (and what is NOT covered) in the UC+ plans?
2) Maintenance intervals of covered services
3) Approx pricing for services noted in (2) (should I not buy a BMW UC+ plan)

I am building an excel model to understand the value proposition of the UC+ plans. I'm happy to share the model here if I can have help with the above information.

As a matter of limiting variables I am only focusing the model on the BMW UC+ plans.

Thanks in advance for your help, Steve

What’s the difference between Platinum and CPO Wrap (applicable only to CPO and with unlimited miles). Are there exclusions in CPO Wrap compared to regular Platinum? Or the coverage is basically same for CPO vs non CPO cars?

They’re all about the same. Just hope if something goes sideways it’s covered. Great vehicles with some quirky and expensive needs if you’re unlucky.

We have a 2021 45e that we’re about to buy out the lease and we’re trying to figure out what exactly is covered in the CARB 7/70k and the TZEV 15/150k warranty.

Our local dealer is quoting $6285+tax for the 7/100k coverage, but all the stuff I’d want coverage on is on the CA Emissions Parts list. So if it’s really 15/150k for that whole list (battery 10/150k) it seems like it’s not a great value to us.

FWIW, I tried reaching out to Christine @ Steve Thomas multiple times and have not gotten a response.
