leo923 wroteAftermarket BMW Crystal Shifter can be installed, no need to code. However, disconnect the power supply before installation. link: https://www.coolshiftknobs.com/category/bmw-crystal-shifter/anyone have an idea if the crystal shifter (and maybe the start button) can be fit into a 2024 LCI 50e? the little shift paddle thing seems strange to me and i like the crystal shifter look. thanks!
mmm50i wroteHey I apologize for never seeing your question until now. Although the lights illuminate, the buttons don’t function because I didn’t have those functions previous to the swap.So now you also have the panoramic view and an adaptive mode buttons? Do they work since your original didn’t have it?
leo923 wroteDid you ever do the retrofit? I too don't like the little lever thing. I really want to have a shit knob!! wankelman24 wroteI ended up leaving it factory because I couldn’t find a good enough kit for the shifter. However, there’s a pretty decent kit for a crystal little lever that’s a bit taller. It was on Amazon for like $100Did you ever do the retrofit? I too don't like the little lever thing. I really want to have a shit knob!! Thanks, www
darrenchan0321 wroteThis is a really cool option for those of us with only the premium package but we can get a cool crystal kit to replace it with. Have you done this install before? I tried to find some installation documentation on that website but didn't find anything...I'm interested in the replacement kit for the standard gear shifter (not the "traditional" one that sticks up and you can wrap your whole hand around).Aftermarket BMW Crystal Shifter can be installed, no need to code. bagd0003 wroteCould you please guide me on how to light up the “X”? Which software did you use?VO Coded for the X to light up. Many thanks to TheNine90 for the coding guidance!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I purchased the E-Sys software back in 2020 and still have it, but I don’t feel comfortable using it without fully understanding what I’m doing.
