Finally got round to fitting the rear M performance winglets .

Used the pdf from here to follow the remove / fitting instructions, was a bit daunting at first to not break any tabs , instructions didn’t mention the plastic rivot but luckily I had spares as I had a removable hitch installed so had rivets let over from that .

Only tools used were a trim remove kit and a pair of pliers to refit the plastic rivot .

Once the 2 screws and rivot are removed, slowly work your way from the wheel back with the trim kit ( I found the thin small head worked best ) using the winglet as a guide to where the tabs are , it’s a bit tight but they do give and slightly pull away as each tab is released.

Fit the winglet in reverse making sure the tabs engage in the bumper and reuse the 2 original screws.

As for the rivot I use the pliers against a trim tool to install it , you will find plenty of vids on YouTube.

All in took about 30 mins

Just the fronts to do tomorrow, and the rear roof threw spoiler to be delivered

How was the fit?
I got the RG sport one and right side fit perfect but left side was not fitting perfectly.
I also tried ebay one too. It was a junk.

The fit was perfect, as I got these winglets from BMW parts department on eBay bmw stores and are OEM BMW .

Will do just waiting on the M performance threw roof spoiler , and I’m not to sure if I’m going to fit the rear diffuser as I like the body colour diffuser

Bumping because I have a question: on many rear diffuser kits the winglets are part of the looks. Usually comes as a separate piece. My question: are these necessary to install to keep rest of diffuser in place? Or is it optional? I personally do NOT want winglets as a look, so trying to see what my options are.

Nice! I have the RW carbon ones and they were a perfect fit. I had them PPF'd and installed them myself.
