Tejas1836 wroteMine are on the way. I'll likely put the summers back on in the spring when the temp steady's out over 50F. The problem in KY is it will oscillate back and forth past that 45F mark for a month or two in both fall and spring. Trying to get the timing right between winters and summers will be impossible... plus the price point is unbelievable... as cheap as these are I'll take the chance and slowly ease my way into any pace to get a feel for handling/stability before I push anything. All the reviews I found were very positive on both the company and the performance of these tires.Oh I understand, I also would like an AS alternative, our rainy seasons here can be flash floods for weeks

cycolac wroteSimpleTire via EBay has them available in that size.I did find them on onlinetires.com. They have the 315's, but 295's are out of stock - just pulled this:

petercnj wroteI’ve got about 600 miles on them so far and no complaints. Temps were in low 30s this week and they handled great. Lots of driving in rain too and they feel solid. Snow is the next test whenever that comes.Hi cycolac / GFit - I'm in NJ and thinking about getting these Arroyo tires. How are you liking these tires?

Gfit wroteDefinitely good found. Usually lesser known brands just isn’t using the latest technique in making the rubbers. And usually that doesn’t reflect when tire is at the first half of life. Toward 2nd half, they may degrade faster, such as less grip or louder. But at that price point, I don’t see why not, instead of changing at 10% left, change at 25% left, you are still ahead. Here you go
Another reason some tires may not show up is a different/lower load rating. Maybe.
Just a thought. Hope them tires work good. Sailun truck tires are made in Thailand also and they’re know to be be great tires.
eelnoraa wroteBut that doesn't equate to traction. Tire siping gives the traction in the absence of hydroplaning. For displacing water, summer tire pattern will be superior to all season.
Not correct. Assuming you are on pavement, real differentiation is temperature range. Give summer tires are for warmer temp, the need to handle snow and ice is not needed, the pattern become large block and wide channel.
In the absence of hydroplane, summer tire will have better traction simply because water is not in the picture anymore, given assuming temperature isn't a concern. The exist of sip is for loose stuff, like gravel, or snow. You will never see people switch to all season tire is auto sport event in raining day.
Thanks

I don't claim to be an expert on how much you NEED summer rubber, but the wet pavement performance is definitely important, and significantly reduced with all-season tires. This is not something I would have thought based on common sense. Summer performance tires are for people who want to push their vehicle beyond some standard limits, and those limits are probably past what's safe on the road anyway, right? BUT, we probably all drive a lot in the rain....Curious what people think. Does it matter enough or not? I'm not sold either way, but if you have a performance vehicle and push it around a little, the most amount of grip you can get in any condition probably makes the most sense, and the all-seasons sometimes feel like the worst of both worlds instead of the best.
I have no complaints/regrets after a month. Do not feel I lost any performance during my spirited drives with takeoffs or sharp bends. I don’t ever drive it hard in the rain so can’t speak on that, but haven’t noticed any lost stability on rainy days under normal driving. Installer had no issues with balancing and they have a good looking sidewall to them. How they handle in the snow will be the next test.
