Curious-
if it voids the warranty
How it sounds
blackoutF15 wroteSo is there anything I could do without any exhaust mods? I do run racechip gts black, but would like to leave the car bone stock other than the tune for burbles. Or do I have to mod the exhaust to get there?Did it on my 2022 X5M comp. It’s awesome. No issues. I have high flow secondary dps, full cat back and RaceChip M1 and M2 with valves open I get burbles when coming to stop in low rpm’s. Wod is wild, pops and bangs, downshift too. I’ve been told if the car is manufactured before 2020, it would throw cel if the tune is installed
sharkymcpeterson wroteI don’t think you’d need other mods. Just the tune would give you the burblesSo is there anything I could do without any exhaust mods? kokozaurs wroteCongrats! Just thought I warn you in case you end up losing the tune like me. Recently got the mod itch, I bought the xhp transmission licenses. Had the xhp tune on my x5m comp for a couple of weeks and decided to go back to my piggybacks. Then I noticed my aftermarket exhaust system sounded significantly quieter and burbles were almost not heard. In the end I concluded that the stock file from xhp for my car when I used to revert it back did not have the burble tune I previously added. So keep in mind if you upload any other tune later to your car, the burble tune will be erased.bimmerworks just coded the burbles for me. 2022 X5 M50i. Car finally sounds alive. Doesn't really affect comfort mode but when put in sport+ sounds incredible. Not overwhelming but more tasteful just like early M cars. In addition to that he was able to code in my idrive a menu to switch between 4wd and 2wd which I was under impression that wasn't possible previously. Highly recommend.

sharkymcpeterson wrotenot sure, I think he's just coding some features in because my dme is locked and this doesn't require unlocking of it. I also still have warranty.I have a warranty to worry about…..does the binmerworks tune hurt me there?
sharkymcpeterson wroteNo issues on warranty , but in safe cases just recode back to stock before go dealer , but is rarely this case ,as none of owners had issuesI have a warranty to worry about…..does the binmerworks tune hurt me there?
sharkymcpeterson wroteAny Enet Obd2 cable is fine .Do you guys recommend an obd cable?
M60iPassenger wroteI am concerned about the warranty to some degree but then again meh…..not a huge deal. Some bad advice in here.
Once you tune the vehicle you can kiss the warranty goodbye. As far as flashing back to stock, the ECU history can show this. If you are worried about your warranty, do not tune the vehicle.
Also burble tunes are reserved for teenagers, and are annoying.
sharkymcpeterson wroteIf you tune the vehicle it is extremely easy for BMW to deny the warranty. Safe mods are things like changing out the exhaust. Once you crack into the ECU you are pretty much on your own.I am concerned about the warranty to some degree but then again meh…..not a huge deal.
Next- No one cares if you like burble tunes.
I’d also say since it seems you aren’t aware, if there is a failure of some covered part after you mod the vehicle bmw has to be able to prove the modification led to the failure. Or they cannot deny warranty. They cannot deny maintenance plan coverage either.
Also, since it’s obvious you haven’t researched what results bimmerworks can produce I’d recommend you visit their Facebook page to familiarize yourself. The service they provide fixes the poor sounding exhaust we got from the factory. The m60 sounds even worse than the m50 in a lot of people’s opinion so maybe you could benefit from this service as well.
My main concern is would this tune prevent my racechip(which also technically voids warranty) from working…..I’d hate to lose that extra boost.
Thanks for sharing your opinion though my guy.
M60iPassenger wroteAgain, familiarize yourself with bimmerworks and this specific tune. It does not require an ecu unlock. If you tune the vehicle it is extremely easy for BMW to deny the warranty. DME's are locked past 2020 manufacturing date and can only be unlocked by sending it to Femto in Finland. No one is cracking into anything.Once you crack into the ECU you are pretty much on your own.
sharkymcpeterson wroteWhere is bimmerwork located? Because based on the license plates of the cars, they do not look close to me.I am concerned about the warranty to some degree but then again meh…..not a huge deal.

kokozaurs wroteSo does the X5 M50i have the same xDrive as the M version? First time hearing about the 2WD mode on an M lite xDrive.bimmerworks just coded the burbles for me. 2022 X5 M50i.
