trapsouldriver wroteI'd buy your steering wheel if it's the Tri color stitched and is brand new.I'm really interested in this. I'm picking up my new 2025 X5 M60i and I want to swap the wheel so bad to the flat bottom one.
Itslouiev wrotenew airbag is neededAny of these use the stock x5 airbag or do all need a new airbag?
dieter09 wroteOMG Dieter09 you are a lifesaver. I am trying to replace the stock wheel on my 2023 X5 50e M-Sport (G05 LCI) with one of these flat bottom LCI wheels. I'm actually happy to not have the carbon and stick with the black and aluminium (silver centre trims) - so will use part 32307908504.I managed to fit the LCI OEM steering wheel.
Ordered everything from my local dealer.
The problem was that my automated driving wasn't working anymore.
Tried everything, the solution was to switch the black modules from my old wheel to the new.
Now everything is working!
Had to make the cable for the vibrator a bit longer because you can not unplug it from the black module.
Also the red M1 and M2 buttons are not working.
But for know you can only order the top cover with the holes for these buttons.
So i mounted them, because it looks nice, and now the holes are filled on top of the wheel
These are the parts that i ordered:
Wheel 32305A8A906
Under cover 32305A8A910
Upper cover 32305A8A907
Vibrator 32305A8A8D8
Cable 32305A8A914
CarbonTrim 32307908506
Hornplate 61319882774
Nuts 32305A8A8E2
M1&M2 buttons 61318090047
Airbag 32305A250D1
If you don't mind me asking, did you just ask your local dealer to supply the parts list you have? And if I may be so cheeky as to ask what it cost in total ?
I'd love to discuss the entire swap process with you sometime, given you have pretty much done exactly what I am looking to do.
trapsouldriver wroteTrapsoul did you ever swap to the aftermarket steering wheel? If so, you want to sell your stock wheel? So the new wheel is working in your 25 X6? Besides the vibration motor your waiting for, do you have all original function? Did you have to code any thing?
I was told from a few aftermarket vendors that my existing airbag would work with their wheel. They may be mistaken, or their frame may just support my airbag. Im hoping to get clarity on this though because it basically doubles the cost if I need an airbag.
Greeney wroteSame but I only want OEM and to find a wheel that's plug and play without replacing wires and all that.Still want to do this on my X5M.

dieter09 wroteDo you mind sharing how to retrofit the existing X5 50e wiring harness on the new horn plate since the positive and negative my existing wheel is located on 6 o'clock and 3 o'clock position?I managed to fit the LCI OEM steering wheel.

Here are some really good videos of the install.
jimmydick wroteCan you link to the listing so we can see exactly what we are looking at. ThanksReaching out hopefully for some help. I bought a flat bottom wheel from Alibaba and am having issues. Everything is complete and reinstalled. The airbag will not rock, therefore the horn will not work. Dug into this deeper and the horn plate will not rock. Any recommendations if the product is wrong or what I could have done wrong with the horn plate install?

S68 X5MC wroteThank you very much for the reply. Greatly appreciate. I’m following through with the return. I’ve already spent entirely too much time attempting to troubleshoot further. The one you bought probably isn't right one for the suv. There's a ridiculous range in their description. I know for a fact people have bought this one and it takes all parts from OEM wheel into it. You can message them and alter whatever you want. The listing below is incorrect and it's actually a 14.5" wheel fyi.

I also reached out to paddleshifterz. They also do not seem to have an understanding of what will work. I don’t want to buy a new airbag. There has to be a wheel which should accept my horn plate and airbag.
Do you by chance have guidance on which chassis code wheel would work without replacing the airbag?
