weinerbarn wroteWhat you said about 02NH being an "option" has me thinking - perhaps the X5M brake booster is separate programming altogether? wondering if it can be flashed? reminds me of how ABS modules on street car based touring cars with factory support would have motorsport-use calibrations replacing what was on the street cars. Not sure you're going to get what you want anyway. The diameter of the rotors and calipers are totally different. The codes for the M sport brakes also depend on what year vehicle and options you have. Can you give a bit more detail on what you have ... year, model, options? Assuming you just want the vehicle to think it has M sport brakes, you can VO code and add the 02NH option (depends on year) and then code the appropriate modules. There is no standalone brake option on the F95 (X5M) because it already has the better brakes.
I have a recall appointment coming up, I may try and bug someone at the dealership about this
I’m upgrading my European spec 2020 g05 x 3.0 diesel. From standard brakes ( 348mm fornt) to M brakes . ( I find a mint used complete set of rotors and calipers )
Front brake will be than 398mm and rear 370 mm
Long story short:
I asked my bmw dealer to upgrade the car , they told me they can do the mechanical job but don’know if coding is needed and however can’t do the coding…
question 1 :
Is software coding needed with this brakes ?
Question 2
If coding is neaded, how can I preceeed?
Is there the possibility to do it troug Bimmerocode?
Thanks to all!!
