This is my 1971 roundie. It’s such an analog car to drive compared to the modern cars of today. But that’s just one reason that makes it special, in my opinion.

It has a built m10 engine. I’d like to swap an e30 m3 or s2000 drivetrain in it. But that means throwing more money at the car and eating cup of noodles every damn day. I don’t think my wallet and digestive tract could handle that kind of abuse 😅

There are a number of Facebook pages but so many scammers out there are ruining our hobby!
Many have done the S14 route and these days you'd be eating ramen as a permanent diet to install one. Days of buying an S14 for a few thousand are long gone and most core engines are up there as well. Wished I still had my spare 2.5L s14 that I had bought back in 07, but alas I bought a second E30 M3 and installed it and sold it a few years later. S2000 engine I imagine are not getting cheaper either being Honda did not make them long and being all their other 2.0L engines are transverse YUCK! Maybe at some point add a modern turbo kit with proper fueling and a 5 SPD vs the 4. As John mentioned 2002FAQ is a great site.
pbonsalb wroteAre you doing the bodywork?Mine needs a little TLC.
M-technik-3 wroteYes, you are correct. Both of those engines are not cheap, especially the s14.Nothing wrong with a built M10 in a light chassis they are quite fun. Have no photos's of mine. Had a rusty 73 and a 76 slushbox for a winter bomber.

My 02 actually has a 5 speed swapped in it already. But the drivetrains out of the e30 m3 or s2000 is just a future wish list at the moment.
