So what are your predictions?
Las Vegas is diffent than a lot of other F1 tracks. Low downforce, long straights and as a night race fairly cold temperatures. Due to the low downforce DRS is less effective.
I think this is not a track that favours the McLaren's, and Mercedes, RB and Ferrari might see chances here.
The track might not be very technical but still I look out to this race as the WDC championship is crazy at the moment, and Las Vegas has produced nice racing in the last two years.

This is my prediction:

1. VER
2. RUS
3. LEC
4. PIA
5. NOR
6. ANT
7. HAM
8. BEA
9. SAI
10. ALB

For people who don't place predictions: please refrain from giving negative comments after the race on predictions other members have given. Nobody makes perfect predictions, and if you don't make predictions yourself, you're not showing you know better.

This is mine.
1.MAX
2. LEC (convinces team to do what he wants)
3. RUS
4. BEA (getting better by strides not steps)
5. PIA (dejected and makes mistakes
6. SAI
7. ALB
8. HUL
9. BOR
10. HAM
NOR and ANT...DNF .

I’m going. It’s actually at a better time to watch in Sydney than Vegas but I’m over in California for some meetings the next week so I thought why not. Just staying at a hotel that has a hospitality thing on the straight. Nothing too fancy. I’m saving fancy for Melbourne 2026.

I think Max will win. Podium in no particular order Charles and George.

Terrible track for Aston. Won’t stop me wearing green though. :)

Not the best track for McLaren either but they will certainly be top 10.

Oh man. This place gets very cold. That’s Thursday, Friday when F1 starts.

7° for qualifying! (44°F).

They'll have to put their winter woolies on for this one :D

Wow, great timing, ENJOY!!!

But yes, bring a coat, the desert gets very chilly at night this time a year.

They should make Vegas an early summer race. It's a great walking town.

Max
Kimi
Lec
Nor
Rus
Pia
Ham

Honestly, I think Kimi has a chance at another podium, if not his first win. He is on a roll and the Merc is looking good. Max should be fast here, as long as they can get the car dialed in and don't have the same mess they had in Brazil. I don't think the MCL's will be terrible, but probably not the fastest.

Because of the momentum:

1. Max the lion
2. Lando the pando
3. Oscar the award
4. Charles and the chocolate factory
5. Kimi the Raikkonen
6. Carlos the smooth operator
7. Alex the great
8. Hulk the incredible

Thanks. I will definitely enjoy. The vibe will be quite something.

In Melbourne this year you will recall the crazy weather. Qualifying about 90° and the race about 57° with a wind chill and freezing horizontal rain. So I bought a huge puffy Aston jacket after joining a huge F1 merch queue. Man they made a killing that day. I’ve never worn since as it is too warm for Sydney even in winter but now I have an excuse. :)

Leaving Oscar out of that image is crazy. Sainz or Ham could have easily been left out. Maybe they didn't want to double down on the mcl drivers, but seems crazy to leave out Oscar when he's been so dominant this year.

we need that manhole at LV to do some work again.

All true. I think they wanted to have drivers of the top 5 teams, but even then it doesn't make any sense. They took the best ranked driver of those top 5 teams, except for LEC who has 66 more points than HAM.
If anybody should be in there, it's LEC instead of HAM.
It's like putting TSU in there instead of Max...

But the top 5 WDC drivers in there would be better I think. Then LEC would be in there too ;)

So last week I had a Piastri burger. It turned out to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Sensational.

However there is apparently a curse. So today I switched to wings. I’m hungry.

You think he's been dominant? 7 wins in 21 races qualifies for dominant?
To me dominant is where you control the season, end to end, and put up race wins and podiums with clockwork like consistency. IMO no one has had a dominant season unless you sum up both Mclaren drivers, in which they still wont have, together, a season like 2023...and even yet have not matched Max's 2022 season. The best driver this year has been Max, and as much as I don't like him Rus is probably second. Pia and Nor would be maybe in there for 3rd or 4th but Lec would be in the running too. IMO the Mclaren drivers have largely underperformed where they otherwise should have.
They SHOULD have had a dominant season given the car but realistically neither were able to really pull away from a field that was further back than we've seen in a long time.
Beyond that, the last 8 races Pia has only scored I think less than 60 points - again, not at all dominant when Max in an inferior car has score 126 or something like that and overall still has 5 wins in a car that simply wouldnt even be contending for anything without his driving prowess.
