Hey folks! I received the Eventuri Turbo Inlets a few days ago and just had time to inspect before installing (also waiting on intake to arrive). Upon inspection, I noticed the metal pieces had a few…scrapes/gashes in them. Shop reached out to Eventuri, and Eventuri’s response was “this is a by-product of manufacturing and it’s okay to install them.”

Maybe it’s a language barrier (those Brits🙄), but my understand of by-product is something created during the mfg process in addition to the desired output. Anyways, can y’all tell me if your Eventuri Turbo Inlets for F95 LCI had the gashes in the metal illustrated by the pics below?

Thanks in advance!

For what those cost they should be perfect like a finely made Swiss watch.

Wow..Doesn't seem normal... And even if it was, would be nice if they disclosed that on their site/pre purchase so that folks spending that kind of money are made aware.

Suspect it would be an easy FAQ to alleviate posts like this

"byproduct" meaning it was scuffed due to improper handling, likely while someone was polishing the part and hit the polishing pad chuck or something similar. From the looks of it, it should not affect performance and you'll be fine with installing it, but these marks are more than just "normal" manufacturing marks.

Ask for a goodwill scratch&dent discount.

Absolutely. This should have not made it past QC. With the cost in mind, even more so. I guess they can afford to do that due to having near complete market share of this sort of thing.

For what they charge? What a joke. Return it.

But yes it will function fine, but you didn't buy Eventuri for function only.
