So the dealer deserves to be punished because BMW couldn't logistically get a car out on time?

Keep in mind, pretty much everyone on here is getting a deal that's at least 10% off and will represent a loss.

The dealer can't make that commitment because there is no mechanism by which for them to do so. If BMW up's the rate, all they could hypothetically do is discount the car more, which I doubt they'd do at 10% off, but there is no way for us to know.

Honestly, I am truly surprised your car didn't make it, it should have had ample time.
Word on the street was that they shut down early and won't be up again until Monday. A lot of cars are in that boat, so to speak. I have a customer's X7 M60i stuck in that predicament. We already reached out to BMWNA, and depending on what happens, BMW will likely give him OL codes to make the pricing the same.

This was told similarly to me from my dealer. Two things they said they will Honor the Promo APR because all credit application and everything done in December with confirmed Allocaiton and order date. Secondly, my Incentives may expire because that is not showing post Jan 2 for Rebates. Dealer said BMW will give code to match that Incentive. Just like you said my dealer got mail from Corp that they cant get the vehicles rest of the year. So they even think there are 100s or even 1000 Cars at minimum at VPC meaning highly likely the PROMOs continue in January to close the sales

OL Codes? What are those?

They are codes for an incentive that the dealer can put into the system. For example, certain test drive events give an OL code.

This is all a bunch of ridiculous placating from dealer employees who don't know at all what is going to happen.

They will not honor the Promo APR just because you did a December credit app, because the rates were not lockable and BMW very clearly explained this to all dealers in November when they made the rates not lockable.

What your dealer is describing is the normal lock process, which doesn't apply. It's actually hilarious they suggest the APR would be locked but not the rebates, given that it's the same program, how could one lock but not the other?

How do they know BMW will give a code to match? They haven't said that. Of course, they can ask, but there is no guarantee it will happen.

Quick question, when does BMW release their incentives for January?

Any updates for your customers on delivery and BmW Na response for delayed delivery and making the offer expire ?

In a very similar situation here. Live in FL, went to a dealer around early November to order a '26 X5 M60i to be built. Had a week 51 build scheduled. Build is complete and was told by the CA that the car has shipped (not ready for transport but actually shipped) and was in route to the dealer from SC. Dealer ETA was 12/29, but the car has yet to arrive and lost out on the Dec '25 incentives.

The genius phone number for over two weeks now has said the car is en route to the dealer.

Oh, sorry - I never saw this in my notifications. We got an extension of the December program, but this was a very isolated incident because the car was loaded onto the truck and stuck at the port way before they shut down for the holidays. The GM of the dealership had also contacted BMWNA before Christmas regarding this car, so that helped too.

Ok finally some news. Yes I did get exception for the rate and BMW NA honored it and they aren't applying to everyone its VIN Specific and signed my paperwork yesterday. The Dealer and my CA worked with BMWNA to get that rate, the word from the Sales Manager is some were approved some were given discount. Car yet to ship from dealer to me it may be next week before I see it as it has quite a travel to go. Thanks to the forum for sure. I will share more insights of dealer and CA later.

That’s great news! Mine should deliver to my house tomorrow. Thanks to smithf80's user avatarsmithf80 working closely with my dealer, I too was fortunate enough to secure an exception for the special rate. Thanks Scott!
