New key, ordered through the dealership who ordered it from Germany came to $601 USD. The invoice didn’t break down the costs so not sure if it is taxed but that was my total. Dealer parts confirmed that it only has to be initialized and they will do it for free when I come to pick it up. No option to mail it to me directly and allow me to initialize myself. Although my contact did offer directions that the can print for me.
