As someone who already has apple tv, I like this, but can understand the frustration if you don't already have it.

F1 app used to be great as you can just pay to watch every game, however, looks like that option is dead.

I already live in the Apple ecosystem so AppleTV is finally not worthless.

Had it free on HULU with ESPN too but the recordings were hit and miss. Hope Apple does a better job!!!

Only in the States!

We will still have to put up those peanuts on Sky.

So lucky for US viewers. What an incredible deal, so cheap and Apple TV has lots of other good stuff on it too. In Australia we pay a lot of money to watch F1 and it requires the worst app I have ever used in my life or subscribing to a cable service which feels circa year 2000.

And enter commercials during F1 races...

Cant' stand apple. their products, or the cult that they've created.

Apple TV does not have commercials during any of the shows. You do not need an Apple device to watch Apple TV. You can use one of the many unbearable “smart” TVs to watch Apple TV.

The service I use in Australia has none live but has endless commercials on the replay. I pay 2.5x the cost of Apple TV for this per month.

Yep, I've run AppleTV on a Roku.

So, you can't get F1 on AppleTV down under?

Sadly no. Another company holds the rights until around 2029.

So glad I’m not paying $90 now to watch. For once I save a dollar.

Trying to think of other good shows on AppleTV so others can get more value out of subscribing. Unfortunately, I haven't found much but I'll start the list if others can chime in.

For All Mankind
Masters Of The Air
Season 1 of The Morning Show
The Last Thing He Told Me (Jennifer Garner )
You're Friends and Neighbors
Manhunt

I haven't started Severance or Pluribus but hear good things.
Chief of War? Linsey's Story?

Stick, Ted Lasso, The Studio, Shrinking (Meh, not my chosen genre)

AppleTV also stays VERY PC

Chief of War and the seasons 1-4 of the Mayor of Kingstown are outstanding and stunning => 10/10 (!)
Pluribus and Masters of the Air => 8/10
Severance is interesting but long-winded => 6/10

Don’t mind paying for the phones or Apple
Tv. Their stocks has been sensational for me. I hate Tesla but same boat. Made some serious coin with that bitch. Even though the cars and CEO suck:thumsup:

AppleTV absolutely shows commercials during other sporting events that they air such as soccer (football). They don't air commercials during other content, but live sports, they do.

In fact, here's their website targeted to people/companies that want to buy add time during said soccer matches (https://ads.apple.com/mls).

Maybe that's something exclusive to MLS? Who the heck knows, but I do not trust Apple. Really loathe that I have to give them money. I can't stand their company, cant stand their products, and can't stand the cult that they've created around their products.

I think I’ll also stick to watching recaps afterwards.

I will admit the glean on Apple has tarnished somewhat under President/Agen Orange (Tim Cook attending the Melania premiere), the series and films on AppleTV are well made and in some cases, compelling. I will say I wouldn't touch Android given the nature of lack of privacy and disjointed co-system.

To each their own. If you're happy watching the highlights on YouTube, good for you, I for one cancelled my F1TV subscription the day they announced the deal with Apple and saved myself $90 plus bucks.

Hijack Season 1 was great. I initially thought it would be tedious being basically an 8 hour plane flight you watch for 8 hours. But man did I get hooked on that one.
