Starting a Week 13 thread. I'm scheduled for production on 3/23. Status code is 150. I'm surprised my production date is two weeks away when my status flipped to production on 3/9.

Selected PCD delivery. Anyone else doing PCD? This will be my second time. Can't wait.

I'm scheduled for Wk 13 as well. Where can I find the codes? I don't see them in my garage.

Status 150 occurs about 2 weeks prior to actual production date. 150 means that parts have been ordered/allocated for placing in the production queue and a VIN is issued.

I'm also week 13 for an X6 M60i. Hoping it moves along quickly.

Thanks! I finally found it. I am at 112.
Order placed: 2/26
"Scheduled for Production": 2/27
Production Date/VIN provided: 3/17
Production Date: 3/30

26XG X5 xDrive40i

For the dealer to have had allocations, this seems like a long time.

Why would you think that? Looks like normal timing.

BluAmazon's user avatarBluAmazon Allocations have a production week attached to them.....first in....first out (individual builds excepted). Your schedule is completely spot on.

First build. First BMW. From the way the GM spoke, I should have had the car by the end of this month. That was my only gauge.

Gotcha. It all depends on what production date is assigned to the allocation. It just so happened in your case it was the end of the month. If it was a week or so earlier you would have it this month (assuming you aren't on the West Coast).

Just curious about the production date (in my case, March 26). Is that when production commences or when it's scheduled to be finished?

Thanks for explaining. Makes sense. They had three allocations, if I remember correctly. Maybe mine was the last one. Who knows. I could have walked to the plant faster than this delivery (in NC). LOL

Finished but both in most cases since assembly takes about four hours.

They go pretty quickly. Here is a video that shows some of the assembly.

Awesome. I have to admit, that robot chair at 00:54 is pretty cool.

So, paint (and other things) must happen prior to production day, then?

Spartanburg uses a different process than the other factories. Rather than building and painting a body specific to a vin they batch them and have them available on racks. When one is needed it is pulled and a vin attached to it. That is why the body and paint processes are not shown on the tracker. It will go directly from 150 to 153.

I hope I get a chance to tour the plant when I take delivery. Last time I did PCD, they weren’t doing tours. Anyone else doing PCD?

Factory tours are not happening until summer 2026 but they still offer the museum tour and driving experience.
