For the dealer to have had allocations, this seems like a long time.

Could it mean that I could have my car before the end of the month? The dealership is less than four hours away from the factory.
Tlon wrotePics or it didn't happen!!!Picked up my car last night. Ordered on the 6th, picked it up on the 31st. Having ordered so many cars from Germany and waiting for the boat to arrive, this seems amazingly quick.

SLOWER wroteWith PCD, you drive a similar car to the one you just bought. For an X5, it would be a 40i or an M60i, unless you you bought the X5M. This lets you push a car similar to yours to the limits of performance without waiting for the break-in period, and while using their brakes and tires. What does the PCD experience look like for purchase of an X5? What do you get the opportunity to drive?
If you come back for the New Owners Track Drive, you will drive an assortment of cars, but NOT the one you bought. These might be M2, M340i, X3M, M240i, etc.

Whew! So, nothing ridiculous.
Picked up her yesterday. And thus far, all highway miles without too much hard breaking. I don't think I have ever read a manual unless I needed to look something up. Maybe I will spend some time this weekend reading.
SLOWER wroteBought an X5 S40i and did PCD a couple weeks ago. We were assigned an X5M for the entire experience. Man that thing was a rocket for a heavy vehicle. What does the PCD experience look like for purchase of an X5? What do you get the opportunity to drive?
