I want to upgrade the HK system in my F96 and was wondering for those that have the Match UP10DSP installed w factory speakers, how loud and clear is it compared to say B&O or B&W system. I will be adding an Alpine S-A60M amp and a JLAudo Cp110lg-Tw1-2 Box that I had laying around. What should I expect? The sound in the HK doesn't even kick until damn near 50% . I know the speakers gotta get upgraded but in time.

I was looking at the Match UP10DSP, the Helix V Eight and the Audison M12 but the match is the only one that seems to make sense as far as channels retained and channels lost and price point. Thanks in advance.

You have the HK system, right?

AF has a Sound Upgrade finder page, where they list the solutions for specific setup:
https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/soundupgrade

For the F96, they list solutions for the Base / HiFi (676) / HK systems.

Checking the options for the HK, it is basically the same what I have in the G05:
- Match UP 10DP with the MEC Card
- Harness

With the DSP + good tuning you can achive the "clear" part.

If you get the tuning right (and get the speakers EQd + time, level matched), the system will also get louder.

The G05 is pretty quiet inside, and with the MatchUP10 in the car, I never really turn the HU louder than 50%. For me it is perfectly fine.
I do have Focals in the car... but that is a long story... if I had to redo it all over again, I would just start with the Match UP 10 + factory HK speakers. With a good tune, that might actually be enough.

And if not, you can always upgrade the speakers later.

The Sub is a nice addition to the system. But that also need to be set up with the rest of the system (crossovers, correct time alignment).

If you are looking for an improvement in sound quality, I think you are on the right track.

Yeah , to ease all confusion, that's what I'm going to do. Is there a dedicated tune profile dump on the forum from people that have the Match UP10 to upload their tune profile?

You can find several topics with files. But if you think about it, every system is different. So the setting that sounds good in my car, may not sound good in yours.

True enough, and that can go for any imported tune, but we all seem to have the same either of two body styles, seems like most of us are upgrading the HK sound, seems like the way to go is upgrading the amp first so we're all starting with the same speakers. Won't hurt to share our tunes with the opportunity to tweak it to your liking. Even for those like yourself who upgraded your speakers, your tune may get a novice over the curve. . My UP10 Is in the mail so when I get it I'll play with it and upload it

Interior of the X6 is similar to the X5.
Do we know if it is the same? Are speakers distances the same?

You can try my settings (G05 X5). I posted them here (post 25):

Time alignment is important. Try it, and let me know how it sounds.
Of could these are just "blind settings". They may or may not work for you.

Individual speaker EQs are not included in those settings... which is also an importnat part of the tuning. Level mathing should be done too...

Ideally, you want to measure individual speaker responses. Based on those measurements, the necessary adjustments can be made. That is what would make the system sound really good.

Thanks and I'll give it a try.
